Want to put that ‘boom boom pow’ back into your bass? Investing in a good set of subwoofers certainly could get that bass really going in your car.

Car audio specialists sell a wide range of ‘subs’. They come in a range of sizes, from 8″ inches up to 18″ inches. Generally, the larger the subwoofer, the better the volume, so if you like intense volume to go with your intense bass, then a large sub is the best option for you. These beasts will need a powerful amp to power them; otherwise you risk a loss of quality sound and you could even risk losing your stereo. Without these amps, you may risk under powering your subs and your stereo, causing a whole host of problems.

Most of us have little knowledge when it comes to electronics, hence, it can be very difficult for those of us who are not in on this ‘loop of knowledge’ to know what to exactly purchase. Often going up to the sales assistant for advice is a task that at least makes one sweat, as the sales assistant tries to sell you extra products that you will probably not want or need. Going into a shop with even a little knowledge is certainly better than going in naïve and unarmed.
